Hi My name is John Briggs and I am the author of this website.
    I was born in Solihull, Warwickshire as it was then now West Midlands in 1948.
    I have two wonderful children of my own Richard and Jennifer and two wonderful 
step daughters Kim and Lucy through my second marriage to Valerie.
    I have lived in and around Birmingham most of my life.
    My father John Briggs Snr was very nearly 60 when I was born which means my dad 
was born in 1889.
    My father was married to Laura Vears in 1912. They did not have any children of 
their own but Adopted a little girl which they named Muriel.
    I have never met Muriel but have many photographs of her growing up, I would love 
to meet her we have much to talk about. Last known information on her was that she 
went off with her boyfriend called Roland never to be seen again.
    My mother was a King and there lies a whole new chapter of life.
